IQAC Initiative: Gender Sensitization and Reproductive Health Awareness Program

As part of its ongoing commitment to promote gender sensitization and health awareness among faculty and students, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of our institution organized a Gender Sensitization and Reproductive Health Awareness Program, with a special focus on Cervical Cancer Immunization.

The sensitization session was conducted by Dr. Meeta Angadi, a renowned Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Infertility Specialist, and expert in Reproductive Medicine and Laparoscopic Procedures.

Dr. Meeta Angadi delivered an insightful talk highlighting:

  • The causes and symptoms of cervical cancer
  • Preventive measures for early detection and health maintenance
  • The importance of the HPV vaccine as a preventive tool against cervical cancer
  • Myths and misconceptions surrounding the cervical cancer vaccine and reproductive health

The program aimed to create awareness and encourage timely vaccination and regular screening, especially among young women. The session saw enthusiastic participation from both staff and students, fostering an open dialogue on reproductive health and well-being
