The Department of Periodontology and Implantology observed Oral Hygiene Day on 1st August 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. G.B. Shankwalkar, the pioneer of Indian Periodontology. The celebration aimed to create awareness among students, staff, and the public regarding the importance of oral hygiene in maintaining overall health.
As part of the celebration, the department organized a week-long series of activities promoting oral hygiene education, clinical skills, and public awareness.
