About Department
This emerging super-specialty in dentistry functions as an independent department, bringing together expertise from various allied dental specialties to deliver comprehensive implant-based care. The Department of Implantology at S. Nijalingappa Institute of Dental Sciences & Research plays a pivotal role in providing permanent tooth replacements for patients with prematurely lost teeth, thereby enhancing both function and esthetics.
In addition to its clinical services, the department conducts a one-year Certificate Programme in Oral Implantology under the aegis of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). This program is designed to train dental professionals in the latest implant techniques through a combination of didactic instruction, pre-clinical training, and live clinical procedures.
