The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, HKE’s S. Nijalingappa Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Kalaburagi, organized a Continuing Dental Education (CDE) program titled “The Airway Shift: Understanding Sleep and Management in Pediatric Dentistry” on 15 July 2026 in the Examination Hall.
The scientific sessions were delivered by Dr. Anjali B. Huddar, Associate Professor, Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, and Dr. Praveen Kumar N. H., Professor, Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry. The speakers highlighted the importance of airway assessment, sleep-related breathing disorders, and their impact on craniofacial growth and pediatric dental management.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students. The interactive discussions enhanced participants’ understanding of contemporary concepts in pediatric airway management and reinforced the institute’s commitment to continuous professional development and interdisciplinary learning.
